TITANS ’00: One of Pitching Coach Dave Serrano’s first options out of the pen, Nunez made 19 appearances (fourth on the team) • Allowed just one hit over two innings and picked up the save against UNLV on Feb. 19 • Also collected a save against Pacific on May 14, when he allowed two runs on two hits and fanned seven over four innings of work • Pulled off an unusual feat against UCLA on March 7, when he struck out six batters in 1.2 innings (one batter reached on a passed ball third strike) • Struck out 37 batters in 34.1 innings • Never had an ERA below 5.25.
