Baseball and football standout at Bishop Amat H.S. in La Puente, Calif. • As a senior, Pilittere was honored with first-team All-Del Rey League and honorable mention All-San Gabriel Valley recognition • Was the starting catcher in the San Gabriel Valley All-Star Game • Batted .457 with four homers, five triples, four doubles, 22 runs batted in and nine stolen bases in nine attempts as a senior • Played for Coach Ken Kendrena • Made the honor roll all four years and graduated with honors.

PERSONAL: Born on November 23, 1981, in San Dimas, Calif. • Parents are Pete and Debbie Pilittere • Has an older sister, Angela • Majoring in communications with hopes of pursuing a career in television broadcasting • Favorite big leaguer is Mike Piazza and favorite team is the New York Mets • Most memorable sports thrill was starting the M.I.N.K. League All-Star Game for the St. Joseph (Mo.) Saints • Aside from playing baseball in Missouri during the summer, he also worked on a farm • Says his father has had the most influence on his career • Full name is Peter John Pilittere.
