Titans Sign El Dorado High Standout McCauley May 17, 2002 – Fullerton, Calif.
El Dorado (Calif.) High School outfielder J.D. McCauley has signed a letter
of intent to play baseball at Cal State Fullerton next season, the Titan
baseball office announced today.
McCauley is the 15th "signee" for the Titans, with the other
14 all signing during the early period in November.
A former teammate of current Titan Joe Turgeon at El Dorado, McCauley
earned second team All-CIF honors last season while helping El Dorado
to the CIF championship. This season, the center fielder and leadoff hitter
batted .409 with three homers and 13 RBI and garnered first-team All-Empire
League accolades.
