TITANS ’01: Appeared in a pair of games for the Titans, posting a 9.00 ERA in 3.0 innings of work • Struggled a bit with his control, walking four batters and hitting three more • Gave up three runs on two hits in 1.2 innings against Long Beach State on March 4 • Pitched 1.1 scoreless innings in the Titans’ marathon 14-inning win over UCLA on April 18.

CYPRESS H.S.: Played for Coach Mark Steinert at Cypress H.S. in Cypress, Calif. • Had a good sophomore season and outstanding junior season before an injury sidelined him for his senior year • Named team Pitcher of the Year and first-team All-Empire League after posting an 8-3 record, 3.71 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 60.1 innings during his junior season • Opposing batters hit just .210 against him • Struck out eight and scattered three hits while pitching Cypress to a 4-3 win over University in the first round of the CIF playoffs • His sophomore season, he was 2-5 with a 4.97 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 31 innings • Pitched a no-hitter (seven innings) and struck out nine against Century as a sophomore • Was a scholar-athlete all four years.

PERSONAL: Born on July 14, 1981, in Long Beach, Calif. • Parents are Gregory and Bonnie Ingle • Has a younger sister, Heather • Major is undecided • Also considered attending Long Beach State, Texas and Arizona • Biggest sports thrill to date was winning the Mickey Mantle World Series • Would like to see LSU added to the Titans’ schedule • Says his dad has had the greatest influence on his career • Enjoys working on trucks • Would like to meet Nolan Ryan • Says he’s better than anyone else at making people laugh...but he’s never been able to sit still • Strangest summer job was building patios • If he’s not in the majors in 10 years, he hopes to be an electrician • Best advice to kids is “Don’t let anything get between you and your dreams” • Favorites...L.A.
