Titans and the second highest on the road (the Titans scored 34 runs at
LaVerne on April 23, 1980). Fullerton has now scored in double figures
in five consecutive games and seven of its last eight.
Costa -- who had five singles -- and Fischer -- who had four singles and
a double -- set career highs in hits while Boyer matched his career-high
with four hits. The top four hitters in the lineup combined to go 15-for-24
with 10 RBI and 11 runs. The Titans had 19 singles, six doubles, three
triples and a homer (by Burgos). Danny Dorn drove in a pair of runs to
tie Phil Nevin for the Titans' freshman RBI record of 52. The Titans,

country, raised their average six points to .346.
Fullerton actually trailed, 3-1, before putting up 10 runs in the second

this season. The Titans scored in every inning but the fourth and sixth
and tallied eight runs in the ninth for the second time this season.
Travis Ingle, who pitched 3.2 scoreless innings in relief of starter Dustin
Miller, picked up his second win of the week and improved to 3-0 overall.
Darric Merrell was actually credited with his first career save for pitching
three effective innings to complete the game. For the second consecutive
game, the Titans knocked out the Mustang starter in the second inning,
with Josh Kougl (1-7) getting charged with 10 runs on 10 hits in one-plus
inning.
Fullerton will go for its seventh series sweep of the season on Sunday
