Titans' Schreppel to Undergo Surgery Mar. 13, 2002 Fullerton, Calif.
Cal State Fullerton freshman pitcher Ryan Schreppel will undergo arthroscopic
surgery Friday morning to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee.
Schreppel, a lefty out of Stockton, is expected to return to the Titans'
rotation about a month after the procedure, which will be performed by
the Titans' team physician, Dr. Miguel Prietto.
Schreppel has been one of the top pitchers in the Big West Conference
to start his collegiate career. He boasts a 4-1 record and a 1.89 ERA
and has held opposing batters to a collective .191 batting average.
