For the second consecutive season, the Cal State Fullerton baseball team
has been ranked 10th in the Sports Weekly/ESPN Coaches preseason
poll, the final of the major preseason polls to be released.
The Titans, who had a 37-22 overall record and were unranked in the final
coaches poll last year, will be anchored by preseason All-Americans Wes
Littleton, Shane Costa and Chad Cordero and supported by a fleet of newcomers
who were collectively tabbed as the second-best recruiting class in the
country.
The Titans will again open the season against rival Stanford when they
host the Cardinal – ranked fifth in the coaches poll – at Goodwin
Field from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2.
