RIO LINDA H.S.: Was an outstanding performer for three seasons at Rio Linda (Calif.) H.S., where he roamed the outfield for Coach Rich Musillami • Selected to the CalHiSports all-state team as a senior, when he batted .536 with 10 homers and 48 RBI as a senior to help Rio Linda to 25 consecutive wins • His best game came against Center H.S., when he was 5-for-5 with three homers and eight RBI • Named league MVP his sophomore, junior and senior seasons • Batted .384 with nine homers and 38 RBI as a junior and hit .415 with 10 homers and 42 RBI his sophomore campaign.
