Fullerton players picked up multiple hits as the Titans routed Cal State
Northridge, 10-3, in a Big West Conference game at Goodwin Field Saturday
night.
The Titans, who have won seven consecutive games, improved to 22-16 overall
and remained perfect in Big West play with a 5-0 mark. Northridge fell
to 13-14 and 0-5.
Romero (7-3) allowed three runs on 10 hits in eight innings, struck out
five and walked one. Nolan Bruyninckx pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to wrap up
the game. Craig Baker took the loss to fall to 3-4.
Fullerton loaded the bases with no outs in the first and grabbed a 1-0
lead when Justin Turner scored on Danny Dorn's groundout. The Titans added
three runs in the second and broke it open with a five-run fourth.
Fullerton will go for the three-game sweep on Sunday at 1 p.m.
