He replaces Chad Baum, who recently accepted a full-time assistant coaching

in the independent Atlantic League. He also spent one season as head coach

Association, Collegiate Baseball, Baseball America,
and the Greater Houston Sports Association.
In 1994, Silva represented the Titans on Team USA and was a second-team
All-American according to Collegiate Baseball. He finished the
year with a 4-4 record for the Titans with a 2.29 ERA and 13 saves –
a total which ranks third on the school's single-season charts.

all-conference selection during his junior and senior seasons. He finished
his Titan career with a 26-7 overall record with a 2.92 ERA and 26 saves
