Windsor Cited as National Player of the Week June 7, 2004 Fullerton, Calif.
For the second time in the past three weeks, Cal State Fullerton senior
righthander Jason Windsor has been named a national player of the week
by Collegiate Baseball.
Windsor was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Fullerton Regional
last weekend after pitching 15 innings and picking up a pair of wins in
less than 48 hours to help the Titans to the regional championship.
The Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball All-American pitched
his seventh consecutive complete game in the opener against Minnesota,
allowing just a run on five hits while striking out 11 -one shy of a career
high. He came back on one day of rest to throw six shutout innings (allowing
just two hits) in the Titans' regional-clinching win over Pepperdine.
Windsor also earned the award after outdueling Long Beach State's Jered
Weaver on May 21 to help the Titans clinch the Big West title.
