Windsor Named National Co-Pitcher of the Week May 25, 2004 Fullerton, Calif.
Cal State Fullerton senior righthander Jason Windsor has been named National
Co-Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Windsor was tabbed for the honor after outdueling National Player of the
Year favorite Jered Weaver in the Titans' thrilling 2-1 win at Blair Field
last Friday, which clinched the Big West title for the Titans.
Windsor hurled all 10 innings for his sixth consecutive complete game
(and eighth overall), while scattering five hits and striking out a career-high
12 batters. He retired the first 11 batters of the game and the final
10 batters of the game. He also earned Big West Conference Pitcher of
the Week honors for his efforts.
He is the second Titan to earn a national weekly honor, following Kurt
Suzuki's selection on May 3.
