TITANS ’03: A reserve outfielder (and pinch runner) for the Titans who started 10 times • Got the start in center field (for an injured Kyle Boyer) in a super regional vs. Arizona State on June 7 • Had multiple hits in his first two games of the season, but not again • Had hits in his first six at bats of the season • Had his first career extra-base hit – a triple – and drove in a career-high tying three runs at UNLV on Feb. 14 • In just his second career start vs. Stanford on Feb. 1, he was 4-for-4, including RBI-singles in his final three at-bats and had an outfield assist as well • Had a sac bunt in the Titans’ ninth-inning rally vs. Tulane on Feb. 28 and went 1-for-2 with an RBI and run in a start vs. UCLA on Mar. 2 • Got the start against USC at Edison Field on May 5.

TITANS ’02:
Was one of the best reserves on the squad as a freshman • Appeared in 15 games and started once • Batted .500 (5-for-10) and scored six runs while driving in a pair • Picked up a hit in his first collegiate at-bat at Stanford • Scored three runs against Vanguard.

EL DORADO H.S.:
Was a four-year letterman at El Dorado H.S. in Placentia, Calif., where he played for Steve Gullotti and Matt Stine • Was selected the CIF Division III and Empire League Player of the Year as a senior, while also earning all-county honors • Batted .498 with three homers, 23 RBI and 19 stolen bases • As a junior, Turgeon batted .464 with six homers and 24 RBI and was a first-team all-league pick • Helped El Dorado to a combined record of 86-31, three Empire League titles and two CIF titles in his four seasons • Played three years of football • Was a scholar-athlete his senior season.

PERSONAL: Born on May 2, 1982, in La Mirada, Calif. • Parents are Joe and Debbie Turgeon • Has an older sister (Lani) • Majoring in kinesiology • Biggest sports thrill was watching Roger Clemens' farewell in Florida • Would have liked to meet Mickey Mantle • If not playing baseball you can find him at Chad Cordero’s house playing NCAA football on Sony PlayStation • Says he chose Fullerton because he wanted to win • Would like to see Miami added to the schedule • Best advice to kids is to “love the ones who love you” • His favorite food in the house special chicken at Pick Up Stix • Favorites...Anaheim Angels (team), Alex Rodriguez (player), Sandlot (movie), Will Ferrell (actor), The Simpsons (TV show).
