Dorn Named to Conference Academic Team
Fullerton, Calif. • June 15, 2005

Junior outfielder Danny Dorn was named to the Big West Conference’s 2004-05 Spring Sport Academic All-Conference team the Irvine-based league office announce this afternoon. Eligibility requires a minimum cumulative grade point average with one full academic year at his/ her institution prior to their sport’s season, while having competed in at least 50 percent of their respective team’s contests. Dorn met the academic requirements while hitting ten home runs and driving in 49 RBI, leading the team in walks (46) and runs scored (56) in 64 games.

Dorn joins softball players Lindsey Bashor, Tiffany Hoff and Brooke Weekley; women’s tennis players Ruya Inalpulat and Gina Le; and track and field athletes Jess Estrada, Obed Garcia, Maria Blazquez, Jennifer Clarke, Kristen Goossens, Christine Ruby and Lacey Welborn as the representatives on this year’s academic team. The aforementioned Titans are 13 of 197 student-athletes from 10 Big West Conference institutions earning such honors for Spring sports.
