Five-Way Meet for Titan Fencers Nov. 7, 2004 – Pasadena, CA Both the men and women swept UCSB, USC, UCLA and UC Irvine in a five-way IFCSC (Intercollegiate Fencing Conference of Southern California) meet at Cal Tech on Saturday. The Titans lost only two weapons -- men's epee to UCLA and women's foil to UCLA, both by 5-4 counts. The closest team score was 19-8 in favor of the Titans over the UCLA and UCSB women. Fullerton routed the UCI women, 26-1. Senta Breden in women's foil and Patrick Harder in men's sabre each went 12-0 on the day. Jennifer Tran in women's epee, Rachel Liebing and Shannon Friden in women's sabre and the entire men's foil team of Brian Fraser, Alex Decker and Jon Cresante all went 11-1 on the day. This week the Titans face Cal Tech and host UC San Diego. ####
