Titans Sent to Regional in Tempe, Arizona
MAR. 25, 2002 – Fullerton, Calif.

Cal State Fullerton has qualified for the NCAA Regional women's gymnastics championships and the Titans will compete at the South Central Regional in Tempe, Arizona, on Apr. 6.

The top 18 teams based on Regional Qualifying Scores were seeded with three at each regional. The balance of the field was filled geographically.

Defending national champion UCLA heads the 6-team field in Tempe which includes host Arizona State, Arizona, BYU and Illinois-Chicago. The other five regional fields are:

Utah State
Missouri
Stanford
Georgia
Air Force

Northeast at Penn State
Iowa
Pittsburgh
George Washinton
Nebraska
Michigan

Minnesota
Kentucky

West at Oregon State
Utah
Washington
Oklahoma
Boise State
Southern Utah

The top two teams at each regional advance to the NCAA Championships Apr. 18-20 at the University of Alabama.
