Titans Post Pair of 10s in Win Over Utah State
MAR. 15, 2002 – Fullerton, Calif.

Joanna Hughes and Theresa O'Gara posted the first perfect scores of 10 in the 26-year history of Cal State Fullerton women's gymnastics Friday night to lead the Titans to a 195.000 to 192.825 Western States Gymnastics Conference victory over Utah State.

Hughes broke the previously untouched barrier on the uneven parallel bars in the senior's final appearance in Titan Gym. On the next rotation, junior O'Gara set a new standard on the balance beam, pacing the Titans to a school record score of 49.225 on that event.

Sophomore Kelly Mathiasen won the all-around competition with a score of 39.350 including a pair of 9.90s on floor exercise and the beam.

Fullerton's next competition is at Utah State in Logan for the conference championship meet.
