Spartans' Beam Score Carries Them to Win
Mar. 9, 2003– Fullerton, Calif.

Dani Albright won the all-around at 39.225 Sunday afternoon to lead San Jose State over Cal State Fullerton and Sacramento State in a triangular women’s gymnastics meet. The Spartans scored 194.05 points to 193.625 for Fullerton and 192.575 for Sacramento State.

San Jose State’s victory margin came basically from the balance beam where the Spartans finished up with a 48.025 after the Titans had struggled to a 47.225 in the previous rotation. The schools balanced each other out with strong showing on the floor exercise, each posting a 49.375.

The leaders:
Vault - 1. Dani Albright (SJ), 9.80; 2. Jenny Diamond (Sac), 9.75; 3. (tie) Nirvana Zaher (Sac) & Jennifer Greene (SJ), 9.725.
Bars - 1. Brooke Weigandt (CSF), 9.850; 2. Jeswsica Hoffman (Sac), 9.825; 3. (tie) Kristen Parker (CSF), Kristen Weigandt (CSF) & Shirla Choy (SJ), 9.80.
Beam - 1. Amberly Klein (SJ), 9.80; 2. (tie) Kristen Parker (CSF), Nirvana Zaher (Sac) & Becca Ronzio (SJ), 9.75.
Floor - 1. (tie) Jennifer Greene (SJ) & Dani Albright (SJ), 9.95; 3. Latoya Milburn (CSF), 9.925.
All-Around - 1. Dani Albright (SJ), 39.225; 2. Nirvana Zaher (Sac), 38.675; 3. Brittany Hoffman (CSF), 38.650.
