Hector Orellana twice hit the near left post in overtime and the Titans
outshot UC Irvine for the match, 25-11, but neither team could disturb
the net Tuesday night in a scoreless Big West Conference men's soccer
match.
The 0-0 tie gives Fullerton a 5-6-2 overall mark and a 2-1-1 Big West
record while the Anteaters are now 6-5-2 and 1-1-1.
UCI goalkeeper Cameron Rossi was credited with 10 saves including a couple
of back-to-back stops of point-blank headers by Brendan Dugan and David
Dischner in the second half. Sam Reynolds made three saves for the Titans,
who outshot UCI 9-1 in the two overtime periods.
Fullerton hosts No. 1-ranked Indiana University on Friday night in a non-conference
match. UC Irvine next plays a Big West match at UC Riverside on Saturday
afternoon.
