State Fullerton sophomore forward Ignacio Cid (Mar del Plata, Argentina)
and UC Irvine senior midfielder Anthony Vizcarra (San Diego, Calif.) were
named Big West men's soccer co-Players of the Week.
Vizcarra helped the Anteaters to two victories, scoring two goals and
an assist. His goal against Cal State Fullerton was the game-winner while
his goal against UC Riverside tied the match with just over three minutes
left in regulation, sending it into overtime.
Cid helped the Titans to victory against No. 5 UC Santa Barbara, scoring
two goals and one assist. Fullerton handed the Gauchos their first conference
loss since the 2001 season.
