Senior Jason Clifford's goal in the 26th minute Wednesday night stood
up for a 1-0 Cal State Fullerton victory over Cal Poly SLO in Big West

The Titans remained unbeaten at home with their fourth win in four tries
to improve to 5-6-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the Big West. Cal Poly fell to

Clifford beat Greg Blevins to the left post from about 25 yards straight

and posted his fourth shutout. Blevins also made 4 saves for the Mustangs.
Cal Poly had two shots from close in -- by Mark Jones 10 minutes into
the second half and by Calderon with about 3:30 to play -- but Reynolds
made the key stops.
Fullerton narrowly missed two more first-half goals. Kljestan hit the
right post from about 40 yards out on a free kick. Ignacio Cid appeared
to beat Blevins from the left side but Andre Nestle darted behind his
goalkeeper to keep the ball out of the net.
Both teams are home Saturday -- Fullerton hosting UC Riverside and Cal
Poly taking on visiting UC Irvine.
