Andrew Sam broke a scoreless tie in the second minute of the second half
and Steve Moreno and Izzy Melo added late goals Friday night as Cal State
Fullerton won at Cal Poly, 3-1, in Big West Conference action.
The Titans improved to 5-10-2 overall and 3-6 in the Big West while the
Mustangs fell to 7-6-4 and 3-5-1. The two teams conclude the season Sunday
at 4 in Titan Stadium.
Moreno's goal in the 76th minute proved decisive when the Mustangs got
a goal from Moses Venegas with about two minutes to play. Melo's goal
came in the 79th minute.
Sam Reynolds made five saves and got the win in the net for the Titans.
Sam's goal was his sixth which leads the Titan squad.
