Titans Earn National No. 6 Seed for NCAA Regionals May 11, 2003 Fullerton, Calif.
The Cal State Fullerton softball team earned one of eight national seeds
and will open the 2003 NCAA Regional Softball Tournament against Rider,
winners of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament.
Regional Play begins on Thursday, May 15, at 9:00 a.m. and runs through
Sunday's (May 18) championship game at 1 p.m. The complete tournament

The Titans and Broncos will square off in the tournament's second game
at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Fourth-seeded Louisiana-Lafayette and fifth-seeded San Diego State open
the tournament at 9 a.m. No. 3 Oregon and No. 6 Penn State will play at
2 p.m., and second-seeded Oklahoma State and seventh-seeded Boston University
will play at 4:30 p.m. An elimination game will be played on Thursday
night at 7 p.m.
Cal State Fullerton has never faced Rider nor Boston University in softball,
while the Titans hold winning records against the Ragin' Cajuns (5-3),
the Aztecs (43-8), the Ducks (12-2), the Nittany Lions (1-0) and the Cowgirls
(10-2).
