Fullerton, Calif. The Cal State Fullerton womens tennis team
defeated a short-handed Southern Illinois squad, 4-3, on Monday night
at the Titan Tennis Courts.
Cal State Fullerton improved to 5-6 overall on the season.
With the Salukis playing only four players, the Titans easliy took the
first two doubles matches by the scores of 8-5 and 8-4, before Southern
Illinois began its comeback.
The Salukis posted wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles and won at No. 4 for
the 3-1 lead, but due to the lack of players and Cal State Fullertons
victory at No. 3 singles, the Titans won the last two singles matches
by default for the final 4-3 victory.
The Titans return to action on Thursday (March 14) when they take on Texas
Tech at 2 p.m.
