Titans Shutout by Northern Arizona, 7-0

Carla Rocha and newcomer Nicole LaBrucherie posted Cal State Fullerton's lone victory on the afternoon in doubles play as visiting Northern Arizona swept past the Titans, 7-0, in the 2003 season opener at the Titan Courts on Saturday afternoon.

Cal State Fullerton falls to 1-1 overall on the season while Northern Arizona improved to 1-2 overall with the win.

The Lumberjacks opened by taking two of three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day and then proceeded to sweep all six singles matches – five of those in straight sets. Freshman Brittany Minna lost in three sets to NAU's Katie Schurr in the remaining match.

Cal State Fullerton returns to action on Friday (Jan. 31) at 10 a.m. as the Titans play host to Chapman University.
