The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team will host student-athletes
from eight other universities this weekend in the 2004 Fall Intercollegiate
Tennis Tournament at the Titan Courts on campus.
Singles play begins on Friday morning (Oct. 8) at 8 a.m., while doubles
play picks up at approximately 2 p.m. Matches will continue throughout
the day on both Friday and Saturday with the champions to be crowned on
Sunday.
Big West Conference rivals from UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, Cal State
Northridge, UC Riverside, and Long Beach State will join the Titans along
with athletes from UCLA, LMU, and Southern Utah.
UC Irvine's Izabela Mijic is the tournament's top-seeded singles player
while Mijic and teammate Hui Leow are the top-seeded doubles tandem. Cal
State Fullerton's Ruya Inalpulat is the No. 8 seed in singles play.
Results will be updated at the end of each day's play with complete brackets
available for download (you must have Microsoft Excel installed on your
computer to view the brackets).
