Titans Drop Heartbreaker to LMU, 4-3
Feb. 24, 2005 – Fullerton, Calif.

The doubles point proved pivotal on Thursday afternoon as host Cal State Fullerton was edged out by visiting Loyola Marymount, 4-3, in a non-conference women's tennis match.

The Titans fell to 0-6 overall while the Lions earned their first win of the year and improved to 1-4.

LMU started by taking the doubles point thanks to a 10-8 victory at No. 2 doubles by Erin Ivey and Kimi Kaloi to take a 1-0 lead overall in the match.

The two teams then split the singles matches, with five of them ending in straight sets, and Ivey pulling out a three-set marathon over Fullerton's Nicole Arias, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3, en route to the victory.

Ruya Inalpulat, Gina Le, and Caroline Freeman each posted singles wins for the Titans while Carla Rocha and Mai-Ly Tran earned the win at No. 1 doubles for the Titans.
