Anteaters Sweep Titans

.IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's tennis team defeated Cal State Fullerton, 7-0, Friday afternoon at Anteater Tennis Stadium in Irvine.
 
The Anteaters swept the three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Senior Anna Bentzer (Stockholm, Sweden) and senior Hui Leow (Chuan Park, Singapore) defeated Mai-Ly Tran and Caroline Freeman 8-4 in the No. 1 match.
 
In singles, Bentzer defeated Ruya Inalpulat 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 match. In the closest match of the day junior Izabela Mijic (Novigrad, Croatia/Baylor) defeated Gina Le 6-2, 6-7, (10-4) in the No. 2 match. Hui Leow and freshmen Inna Agababian, Becky Bernhard and Jessica Broadfoot all were victorious in their matches.
 
The Anteaters improve to 2-3 on the year, while the Titans fall to 0-4, 0-2 in the Big West. Fullerton plays again Wednesday at Cal State Northridge.
