Pair of Seconds for Sprinter Fred Williams APRIL 27, 2002– San Diego, Calif.
Fred Williams ran a season's best 10.72 into a strong headwind to finish
in second place in the 100 meters to highlight the Titans' efforts Saturday
at the UC San Diego Invitational. Williams also ran second in the 200
in 21.61.
Other strong efforts were logged by the men's 4x100 relay team, which
beat UCLA and the rest of the field with a time of 40.51. Brandon Campbell
took second in the high jump, clearing 6 feet, 10 inches.
