Lanaro Takes Fifth at Pan Am Games Aug. 12, 2003

Cal State Fullerton senior-to-be Giovanni Lanaro (Valinda, CA, Mt. Sac
JC), competing for Mexico, finished fifth in the pole vault at the Pan
Am Games in the Dominican Republic. Lanaro, who cleared 17-4 1/2, capped
a remarkable season just a year after reconstructive ankle surgery.
