Titans Sign Pair of Sprinters
June 22, 2005– Fullerton, CA


Sprinter Antonia Vega of Modesto College has signed a national letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Cal State Fullerton.
Vega has a current best of 12.14 in the 100 meters, which placed her in the top 10 in the California Junior College ranks.

"Antonia brings tremendous speed and power to the Titan women’s program and she will make an immediate impact in the Big West Conference," said Titans' Sprint Coach Kenny McDaniel.

Vega plans to major in kinesiology .

On the men’s side, incoming freshman Daniel Baltierra from Mission Viejo High School also has signed a national letter of intent to become a Titan. Baltierra is a sprinter who boasts relay experience along with a personal best of 49.50 in the 400 meters. He plans to major in business administration.
