Vertical Events Best for Titans at Oxy Relays May 7, 2005– Eagle Rock, CA
High jumpers and pole vaulters led the way for Cal State Fullerton Saturday
at the Occidental Relays. Matt Turner won the high jump for the Titans
by clearing 7 feet, half an inch, while teammate Jonathan Golden was third
at 6 feet, 10 3/4 inches. B. J. Vandrovec tied for first in the pole vault
by clearing the bar at 16 feet, 1 inch. Horizontally, the Titans were
paced by Kurt Weber's third-place finish in the long jump at 22 feet,
2 1/2 inches.
For the women, the relay teams led the way. The Titans' 4x100 team ran
47.71 to win its race while the 4x400 team finished second in 3:54.87.
Jennifer Jones ran fourth in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 14.95.
