Women's Basketball Players
THIS SEASON: Robert will redshirt this season after transferring to Cal State Fullerton from North Iowa Area Community College. NORTH IOWA COMMUNITY COLLEGE: A 2000-01 All-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference first-team selection, Robert averaged 15.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg and 3.1 spg last season for head coach John Oertel and the Trojans while also dishing out 2.4 apg and shooting 75 percent from the free throw line team co-captain as a sophomore earned ICCAC Player of the Week honors on Jan. 12, 2001 made the Deans List with a 3.6 GPA ranked sixth in the conference in scoring, second in rebounding, and second in steals (85) posted nine double-doubles on the year posted season highs of 30 points vs. North Dakota School of Science and 17 rebounds against Minneapolis Community College ranked second on the team in three-point shooting at 36 percent named to the ICCAC All-Academic Team. COLUMBUS HS: A five-sport athlete for the Sailors, Robert played basketball, volleyball, tennis, softball and ran track for Columbus HS from 1995-99 all-conference selection in volleyball and basketball named co-captain of the basketball team for the 1998-99 season and was selected to play in the 1999 Iowa 3A All-Star game helped lead the team to the semifinals in the 1998 state tournament and a No. 1 ranking for part of the season helped lead the volleyball team to the regional finals in 1998 and qualified for the state tournament qualified for the state meet in the high jump in 1998 made the Deans List with a 3.72 GPA. PERSONAL: Born September 4, 1981, in Rochester, MN her parents are Mike and Diane Robert her father played football at North Iowa Area Community College for two years (1973-74) and played one season at Northern Iowa (1975) majoring in communications with a minor in entertainment studies hopes to pursue a career in the entertainment business, especially singing and acting lists her hobbies as singing dancing, art and working out chose Cal State Fullerton over Rockhurst University, Belmont and Stetson has sung the national anthem at various events.
