Monica Mack and Beth Ann Dickinson scored 16 points each Friday night
to lead Fordham to an 81-43 womens basketball victory over Cal State
Fullerton in both teams season opener.
Fullerton got 16 points from Tessa Moon and 10 from Amber Pruitt but shot
a frigid 19 percent from the floor including 10 percent (3 of 30) in the
second half.
The teams were tied at 15-15 10 minutes into the game, but the Rams went
on a 20-5 run over the next 7 minutes and never looked back. They doubled
up the score as late as 74-37 with 3:38 to play.
Fordham outrebounded Fullerton, 61-37, and shot 48 percent from the floor.
The Titans made only 2 of 18 3-point field goal tries. The Titans scored
almost half their points at the foul line, making 19 of 33 tries for 58
percent.
Fullerton goes on the road next week, playing at New Mexico on Tuesday
night.
