Underwood Earns All-Conference Honors March 7, 2005 Fullerton, Calif.
Cal State Fullerton sophomore forward Charlee Underwood was named to the
All-Big West Conference Honorable Mention team on Monday afternoon as
the league office released this season's honor roll.
It is the first career all-conference honor for Underwood, who averaged
12.0 ppg and 5.3 rpg during the regular season, ranking 13th in the conference
overall in scoring and tied for eight in Big West Conference games (13.3
ppg). She has scored in double figures in 10 of her last 11 contests (19
of 27 overall) and notched a pair of double-doubles on the year in victories
over Idaho and East Carolina.
Underwood becomes the third Titan in the last three seasons to earn all-conference
honors, joining Heather Hansen in 2002-03 (honorable mention) and Tamara
Quinn in 2003-04 (2nd Team).
Fullerton continues its season this week at the Big West Conference Tournament
at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. The Titans are the
No. 8 seed and will open against No. 5 UC Riverside on Wednesday (March
9) at noon.
