Mar. 4, 2003 –Boise, ID

Four Titans have qualified for the NCAA wrestling championships by virtue of their performances over the weekend at the Pac-10 championships at Boise State, where Cal State Fullerton finished in eighth place, two notches better than a year ago.

Juan Mora, Chris Carlino and Landon Seefeldt each placed fourth at their respective weight classes to earn automatic berths. Rowdy Lundegreen placed fifth and was selected as one of two wild cards by the Pac-10 coaches to return to the NCAA finals where he upset the No. 1 seed in the first round last year.

Mora placed fourth at 141 pounds, beating Chris Brines of UC Davis, 14-4, before losing to No. 3-seed Casey Hunt of Oregon, 13-10.

Carlino placed fourth at 174 pounds, beating Harold Penson of Stanford on a technical fall before losing to No. 3-seeded Jake Huffman of Oregon State, 8-3.

Seefeldt placed fourth at 197 pounds, beating Jason Lovell of Oregon State, 3-1, before losing to No. 3-seeded David Schenk of Cal Poly, 3-2.

Lundegreen took fifth place at 184 pounds, losing to Tony D'Amico of Boise State, 3-2, before beating John Garfinkel of Stanford, 5-0.

Arizona State won four individual championships and captured the team title with 134 points to 127 for host Boise State, the defending champion, which held a slim lead going into the finals.
