Leads CSF to 19-16 Win over Stanford Nov. 22, 2002 – Fullerton, Calif. Rowdy Lundegreen had a pin in the 184-pound class and Chris Carlino scored a major decision at 174 pounds to help Cal State Fullerton beat Stanford, 19-16, in a Pac-10 dual meet in Titan Gym on Friday afternoon. The win keeps the Titans (3-0 overall, 2-0 in the Pac-10) perfect under first-year Head Coach Dan Hicks, while the Cardinal falls to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in conference action. Fullerton’s Juan Mora earned a 3-1 decision at 141 pounds in the match’s first bout before Stanford rallied for a pair of decisions by Scott Polley (149 pounds) and Matt Gentry (157 pounds) for their only lead of the match at 6-3. Fullerton won the next four bouts, including the 16-5 major decision by Carlino and a pin by Lundegreen at the 2:08 mark. Landon Seefeldt followed with a 7-2 decision over Nick Lukens at 197 pounds to give the Titans their biggest lead at 19-6. Stanford won the final three bouts, with 2002 NCAA qualifer Brad Metzler (133 pounds) scoring a 10-1 major decision in the final bout of the match.
