Seefeldt's Fifth at 197 Tops CSF Effort Dec. 6, 2003 -- Las Vegas, NV
Landon Seefeldt placed fifth at 197 pounds to pace Cal State Fullerton's
effort Friday and Saturday at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational wrestling
tournament.
Seefeldt won six of seven matches, losing only to Matt Monteiro of Cal
State Bakersfield, by pin, in the second round. He bounced back to win
four matches in a row before taking fifth by forfeit from Brian Kraemer
of North Dakopta State. To get to that match, he beat J. D. Bergman of
Ohio State, 2-1.
Other Titans: Jesse Miramontes 1-2 at 125 pounds;
Alvaro Arreola 0-2 at 133; Juan Mora 2-2 at 141; Brett Gordon 3-2 at 149,
Dustin Vance 2-2 at 157, Matt Lambert 1-2 at 165, Leo Sanchez 3-2 at 174,
Dan Contreras 0-2 at 184 and Tyson Blair 0-2 at heavyweight.
Fullerton next competes at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Dec. 18.
