Four Titan wrestlers will compete in the NCAA Championships beginning
Thursday in St. Louis.
Juan Mora (141 pounds) and Landon Seefeldt (197) are making return appearances
and hope to improve upon their 0-2 performances of a year ago. Jesse Miramontes
(125) and Leonel Sanchez (174) are making their NCAA debuts.
Miramontes, the Pac-10 champion, has a first-round bye and then meets
the winner of the match between Jose Leon of Boston University and No.
2-seeded Luke Eustice of Iowa.
Mora faces Coyte Cooper of Indiana in his first match. Sanchez faces Nick
Kozar of Drexel in the first round and then could face No. 1-seeded Chris
Pendleton of Oklahoma State. Seefeldt draws another Drexel wrestler in
Chris Jones, the No. 7 seed.
