Recruiting Class Ranked in Top 40 May 27, 2004 -- Fullerton, Calif.
Cal State Fullerton's group of incoming wrestlers has been rated among
the Top 40 in the nation by Intermat, the official site of the
National Collegiate Wrestling Coaches Association.
The 25 schools were rated in order and Fullerton is in a group of 13 schools
accorded "honorable mention." Among Pac-10 institutions, Boise
State is the highest ranking school at No. 13. Arizona State is No. 20
and Oregon is No. 24. Cal Poly is listed with Fullerton in the second
group.
The listing is based on meeting team needs, impact wrestlers and overall
quality and quantity. Defending national champion Oklahoma State was ranked
No. 1 followed by Iowa (last year's national runnerup) and Ohio State.
The complete list of incoming Titan wrestlers will be released upon official
admittance to the University.
