Titans Take Momentum to Tough Match at ASU
Jan. 13, 2004 -- Tempe, AZ

Buoyed by three dual match victories in four attempts last weekend in Oregon, the Titans tackle Pac-10 powerhouse Arizona State Saturday evening in Tempe.

Fullerton (3-8, 2-3) defeated Oregon, Southern Oregon and Portland State in Redmond while losing to Oregon State. The win over Oregon was only the second in school history in 11 matches.

Four Titans went undefeated on the snowy trip -- Jesse Miramontes at 125, Juan Mora at 141, Dustin Vance at 157 and Landon Seefeldt at 197. Both Mora and Miramontes accented their glossy records with a pair of pins. Mora also had a major decision.

Leonel Sanchez (174) won three of four matches. He ranks No. 2 in the nation at his weight with 24 wins and he is rated No. 3 with 8 pins. With 19 wins, Seefeldt ranks tied for No. 4 at his weight class.
