Cal State Fullerton placed 17th among 46 teams
at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas last weekend
The top five teams were Michigan, Nebraska, Hofstra, Arizona State and
Cornell. The Titans finished ahead of Ohio State, Fresno State, Oregon
State, Air Force and North Carolina State among others.
Individually, Jesse Miramonte took sixth place at 125 pounds going 5-3.
Jesse Taylor at 184 went 5-2 while Landon Seefeldt was 3-2 at 197 pounds.
Leonel Sanchez, seeded No. 4 at 174 pounds, aggravated a knee injury and
had to take a pair of defaults. Risto Marttinen at 165 and Jeff Silva
at 149 each won a pair of bouts before being eliminated.
