Titans' Win Streak Snapped with 1-0 loss to Utah St.
Oct. 14, 2001 – Logan, Utah

Box Score

Utah State's Amber Tracy scored on a corner kick in the 76th minute and the Cal State Fullerton offense could not find the back of the net as the Aggies snapped the Titans' seven-match winning streak with a 1-0 victory in a Big West Conference women's soccer match-up on Sunday afternoon in Logan, UT.

Cal State Fullerton fell to 8-5-0 overall on the season and 3-1-0 in league play. Utah State improved to 6-6-1 and 2-2 in the Big West.

USU's goal came on an Amber Tracy corner kick with 75:37 gone in the game. It was the sophomore's first corner kick of the season, and her only shot all day. The Aggies took just four shots in the game; junior Megan Edge shot twice, while junior Michelle Eversman had one shot.

Senior goalkeeper Tracy Brady posted seven saves and allowed no goals in 90 minutes of play. It was her second shutout in as many games, making Tracy the first goalie in USU history to post consecutive shutouts.

The Titans return home this weekend for a pair of Big West Conference match-ups at Titan Stadium. Cal State Fullerton will meet Long Beach State on Friday (Oct. 19) at 5 p.m. before taking on UC Irvine on Sunday (Oct. 21) at 1 p.m. Both matches are the first games of doubleheaders with the Titan men's team.
