LONG BEACH CITY:
Played two seasons of soccer at Long Beach City College at the forward position, earning the Best Offensive Player award as a freshman • was a two-time JC All-American and was named the 2000 NSCAA/adidas National Player of the Year last season • in her two-year career, Bannister finished with 38 goals, 35 assists and 111 points • led the team during her sophomore season with 55 points • helped lead the Vikings to a 46-5-2 two-year record.

CANYON HS:
Four-year varsity letterwinner for head coach Alex Camargo in soccer while also playing one season at point guard for the junior varsity basketball squad in her freshman year • earned all-league honors in both her freshman and sophomore seasons and was an all-CIF pick in her sophomore year • earned MVP honors as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born on Mar. 26, 1980 in Anaheim • parents are Gene and Michele • she has two older sisters (Nicole and Jacque) and a younger sister (Ashley) • plays club soccer for the S.C. Blues • majoring in communications at Cal State Fullerton and hopes to go into advertising after graduation • chose Cal State Fullerton because of the quality of the university, the coaching staff and the soccer program • enjoys playing guitar and painting • lists her most memorable sports thrill as scoring the game-tying goal in the last 20 seconds of the state championship game last season - a game Long Beach City would win, 2-1, in overtime.
