Titans Earn High Marks in Preseason Outlook
Aug. 20, 2002 – Fullerton, Calif.

Cal State Fullerton head coach Ali Khosroshahin and his 2002 Titan women's soccer squad continues to earn high marks as one of the top teams to watch in the country according to a preseason outlook of some of the nation's best squads by Soccer Buzz, a magazine devoted entirely to women's collegiate soccer.

Fullerton, which posted a 13-7 overall record and an 8-1 mark in the Big West Conference last season, clinched its first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2001 and returns numerous key pieces for the 2002 campaign as the Titans look to make an encore appearance in the NCAAs.

Cal State Fullerton was listed by Soccer Buzz as one of the teams to watch for the upcoming season and is the only school profiled which is not ranked either in the national regional Soccer Buzz preseason polls.

Cal State Fullerton kicks off the season with the 2002 Soccertown Classic, hosting UC Irvine and Eastern Washington at Titan Stadium beginning on Aug. 31.
