Titans Down Lions in OT Exhibition
Aug. 25, 2002 – Fullerton, Calif.

Cal State Fullerton senior Kim Houg connected on a pass from senior Michele Bannister in the 94th minute of overtime to help propel the Titans to a 1-0 exhibition victory over Loyola Marymount on Sunday afternoon at Sullivan Field in Los Angeles, Calif.

Fullerton will open its season this weekend by hosting the three-team Soccertown Classic at Titan Stadium. UC Irvine and Eastern Washington face off on Saturday (Aug. 31) at 5 p.m. with the Titans taking on their alumnae at 7 p.m. Fullerton and Eastern Washington conclude the tournament on Monday (Sept. 2) at 1 p.m.

Freshman Blair Gabler was stellar in net for the Titans, facing 15 shots and making 11 saves to keep Fullerton in the match.

The Lions outshot the Titans, 15-10, and had an 11-6 advantage in shots on goal.
