Glick were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of Americas
All-West Region Third Team it was announced on Thursday, in a vote of
the regions head coaches.
The duo becomes the fourth and fifth players to earn the honor from the
NSCAA in the history of the program joining Dolores Browning (1996 - 3rd
team), Michelle Rice (1996 - 3rd team) and Tennli
Ulicny (2001 - 3rd team).
Bardsley (Chino Hills, Calif./Ayala HS) was stellar in net for the Titans
as a rookie, earning Big West Conference Freshman of the Year honors after
posting a 0.96 goals against average and 5.18 saves per match both
of which ranked third in the league. She also earned all-conference second
team honors after posting a 12-3-1 record in net with three shutouts and
an .846 save percentage.
Her 88 saves put her fifth on the schools career list, her three
shutouts are tied for fourth on the career list and her 1502 minutes rank
her fifth on the schools all-time charts.
Glick (Torrance, Calif./South HS) was a four-year starter on the back
line for the Titans tallying five career goals and 13 career points. In
2001, Glick helped lead the Titans to their first-ever Big West Conference
title and NCAA Tournament appearance while leading a defense which set
school records for fewest goals allowed and most shutouts.
This season, Glick was integral part of a Cal State Fullerton team which
broke the school record for goals allowed for the second consecutive season,
allowing just 21 goals. She earned first-team All-Big West Conference
honors after helping the Titan defense rank second in the conference in
goals allowed (1.17) and second in goals against average (1.14).
Cal State Fullerton finished the 2002 season with a 12-5-1 overall record
and a 6-3 mark in the Big West for third place. The Titans were ranked
for the first time in the history of the program, reaching as high as
No. 23 in some polls and ranked as high as No. 7 in the West Region.
