Kandace Wilson (Walnut,
Calif.) beat a defender and scored from the right side with one minute
remaining in regulation to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 2-1 win over
Pacific in a Big West Conference women's soccer match in Stockton Sunday
afternoon.
The Titans improved to 8-1-1 overall and 2-0 in Big West while the Tigers
dropped to 8-2-1 and 0-1-1.
Pacific's Suzy Peterson scored on a header just four minutes into the
game for a 1-0 lead, which held up until Fullerton's Erica
Jacalone (Temple City, Calif.) scored on a header to tie the game
in the 56th minute.
After Wilson's go-ahead goal, Pacific had one more chance, but Gabby Olivares’s
shot went just wide.
