One of the pioneers of women’s soccer at Cal State Fullerton, assistant coach Dana Mariotti enters her fifth season on the bench for the Titans.

Mariotti began her collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant with the Titans and was hired on as a full-time staff member in 2000. In addition to her collegiate experience, she has coached at the youth club level for several years and currently coaches the Slammers out of Newport Beach, Calif.

Mariotti received her “D” coaching license from the U.S. Soccer Federation in 2001 and has plans to complete the “C” license course next summer. In addition to her duties during the season, Mariotti serves as Co-Director of the Fullerton Futbol Academy held each summer at Cal State Fullerton.

Mariotti joined the fledgling Titan program in 1993 after transferring from UC Santa Barbara. She scored four career goals and served as the team captain both years, including the honor of being the lone senior on the 1994 team. Mariotti was also honored as the Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior.

Mariotti was born on Apr. 8, 1972, in Rochester, N.Y. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in advertising in 1995 and received her masters in kinesiology with an emphasis in sports psychology in Jan. 2002.

She currenty resides in Costa Mesa, Calif.
