Jan. 21, 2004 – Fullerton, Calif.

Cal State Fullerton senior goalkeeper Laura Janke was named to the 2003 NSCAA/adidas All-West Region Scholars Second Team as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Janke, who was 9-8-2 with a 1.21 goals against average in net for the Titans in her final season, has accumulated a 3.39 GPA and is scheduled to graduate in June, 2004, with a degree in kinesiology. She was one of only two players from the Big West Conference to be honored on any of the three teams.

Janke finished her career this past November as the school’s career record holder in minutes (4,513), shutouts (13), and saves (234) while also setting the school’s single-season shutout record with six and becoming the ninth goalkeeper in the history of the Big West Conference to notch more than 200 career saves.
